CNC Mechanical Fitter / Process Engineer / Rotating Equipment Engineer

£36,000 – £42,000 + Overtime + Pension and Benefits

At CNC Repair (UK) Ltd we are enjoying an exciting and sustainable growth program following the award of several prestigious long term, high value projects. Our internal spindle repair department has recently expanded due to this continuing period of significant growth, and we currently have a vacancy for an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Process Engineer looking to further develop their career.

You will be based at our facility in Bourne Lincolnshire working alongside our experienced spindle technicians & management team. Due to the technical nature, in house training & support will be given for the role.

Role Description:

  • Rebuilding of machine tool spindle units
  • Offering advice and technical solutions
  • Diagnose reasons for spindle unit failure & offer potential improvement suggestions
  • Rebuilding of motors & built in (electro) spindles
  • Identifying components including bearings
  • Reporting directly to the Service Manager

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of rotating equipment
  • Mechanical Skills
  • Balancing knowledge (however training will be given)
  • Bearing limits / fits & inspection knowledge an advantage
  • Machining knowledge an advantage
  • Electrical knowledge an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Motivated to work on industry leading equipment
